1。进入LunarPages网站购买。点击Hosting Plans进入主机方案页面，选择你需要的方案开始购买。本文以Basic Hosting方案为例来进行说明。如下图所示，点击对应方案的Sign Up Now开始购买
Basic方案是linux操作系统，不支持ASP ASP.net,如果您需要运行ASP ASP.net程序，需要选择Windows主机方案，如下图所示选择Windows方案
注：Basic方案中有增加ASP一项，只是简单的ASP支持，并不支持数据库，不适合大部分ASP程序运行
然后出现下面三幅图所示的信息填写页面，需要分别填写联系信息，域名，付款周期，附加服务。按照下面三个图的提示填写即可。

如果需要最新版本的Zend Optimizer可以使用如下方法升级到高版本
1.到http://www.zend.com/downloads 下载zend optimizer的最新版本
2.解压缩下载的文件，你会找到一个名字为data的文件夹。把文件夹的名字修改为比较特殊的名字，例如zendopt(在下面的文章中我们将用这个名字作为例子）
3。上传zendopt文件夹（就是原来的data文件夹，这个名字是自己修改的，修改为什么名字就使用什么）到public_html目录。
4。在public_html目录下的.htaccess文件中中增加：
suPHP_ConfigPath /home/user/public_html
其中user就是你在lunarpages的主机帐户的用户名
5。在php.ini文件中添加下列语句，如果没有php.ini可以自己建立：

zend_optimizer.optimization_level=15
zend_extension=/home/USERNAME/public_html/zendopt/4_4_x_comp/ZendOptimizer.so
zend_extension_ts=/home/USERNAME/public_html/zendopt/4_4_x_comp/TS/ZendOptimizer.so
注意：用你的cpanel用户名替换上面的USERNAME
用你所在的服务器的PHP版本替换4_4_x_comp
Zendopt文件夹包含很多文件夹例如4_4_x_comp, 5_1_x_comp, 和 5_2_x_comp，选择一个和你的服务器使用的PHP版本最接近的。
6.确认zend optimizer是否升级成功.建立一个php文件,文件内容:

然后再浏览器中访问这个文件就能看到配置信息.
LunarPages控制面板使用Cpanel,可以通过如下地址登陆：
http://www.yourname.com/cpanel
http://www.yourname.com:2082
其中yourname.com换为你的域名即可，例如www.lunarpagescn.com:2082
会弹出登陆框，输入用户名，密码以后确认即可
还可以通过LunarPages主页登陆，在首页右上角输入用户名密码然后点击login,进入以后点击Control Panel，然后点击go to cPanel进入控制面板。
下面说明控制面板中每一部分的功能，具体的常用操作以后文章中逐渐给出。
控制面板分三部分，左侧上半部分显示主机帐户基本信息：
左侧下半部分显示服务器基本信息，包括Apache，PHP版本：
右侧是控制面板的主要部分，基本的操作都要在这里完成，每部分的功能如下面两图的注释：
因为LunarPages使用suPHP,所以在.htaccess文件中不能包含以”php_value”和 “php_flag”开头的语句,如果.htaccess文件中有这样的语句,需要将他们移到php.ini文件中,并在.htaccess中增加以下语句:
suPHP_ConfigPath /home/username/public_html
其中username是你在lunarpages的主机帐户的用户名
php.ini文件中语句格式和 .htaccess中格式不同,php.ini中的格式如下:
setting_name = setting_value
例如 .htaccess中的语句
php_value register_globals 0
移动到php.ini文件中应该写作:
register_globals = Off
php.ini文件一般放在public_html路径下,他的设置对帐户下所有网站都生效.如果只是想修改某个添加的域名对应网站的设置,只需要在该域名的根目录下新建php.ini文件,添加需要语句即可,同时需要在该目录 .htaccess文件中添加:
suPHP_ConfigPath /home/username/public_html/subcategory
最后的subcategory换成你的域名对应的文件夹名称.

启用gzip可以将文件压缩到原来的约1/4，也就是速度可以提高到原来的4倍，使用流量将减少到原来的1/4。弄了一个纯文本的html测试，原文件1.6M，竟然压缩掉99%！可见gzip的优势。
这里介绍如何在LunarPages中为网站程序启用gzip压缩，不需要程序的支持，可以为所有的php及html启用gzip压缩。当然，如果你使用 的是本身可以启用gzip的程序，例如discuz，wordpress等等，只需要在程序后台启用即可，就不需要这么麻烦了。如果你使用的是像 ShopEx这样的没有gzip功能的程序可以使用此方法，可以极大的提高访问速度（ShopEx最大的缺点就是速度慢).启用gzip会轻微加重服务器资源消耗，给html启用gzip，则html文件需要经过php引擎编译，会加重服务器负担。
首先给所有的php文件启用gip压缩：
在php.ini中添加下面语句

这样就可以给所有php文件进行gzip压缩了。注意的是，这样启用gzip之后需要将程序原来的gzip功能去掉，例如discuz等的gzip不要启用，否则程序会报错。
下面为html页面启用gzip压缩，我们要做的就是让apache将html文件当作php文件处理即可。在.htaccess文件中加入下面的语句即可：

这样就可以为html文件htm文件启用gzip压缩了。
目前只测试了在lunarpages的suPHP中此方法有效，其他主机试过之后再公布。

如果给所有网站启用gzip,修改public_html文件夹下的php.ini及.htaccess,如果只想将其应用在某个域名,修改对应目录的php.ini及.htaccess
